ABOUT OUR CBD PRODUCTS

Hemp and Marijuana are both varieties of the Cannabis sativa L. plant. Hemp products (high in CBD and low in THC) are known to alleviate pain and to help to sooth both external and internal aches and conditions, while Marijuana products (high in THC and low in CBD) have a powerful psychotic effect on the mind.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of approximately 113 cannabinoids found in cannabis plants. According to information published by the WHO, CBD is non-phychoactive, has no known adverse side effects and is virtually impossible to lethally overdose.

Scientists believe that CBD works by interacting with our body´s own biological systems including the Endocannabinoid system; the system responsible for regulating our mood, pain and other functions in our body. 

Our organically produced CBD tinctures are produced from EU-certified CBD-rich hemp seeds which are extracted and bottled in Switzerland, using supercritical CO2 to preserve the full range of naturally-occurring therapeutic cannabinoids, flavonoids and terpenes.

Infused in rich coconut (MCT) and hemp seed oils, they contain <0.2% THC (with our MCT oils containing less than 0.005% THC) which is the EU´s legal limit. All of our tinctures are certified organic and vegan and have undergone third-party, randomised laboratory testing for cannabinoid content and potency, pesticides and other toxins, and are free from additives, artificial flavours, preservatives and toxins. In addition, our packaging is recyclable and, where possible, made from recycled materials.

Unfortunately, there are a host of poor-quality CBD and hemp products on the market due to a lack of proper regulation. Switzerland has some of the strictest CBD regulations in the world and we have teamed up with strong partners to ensure the highest quality and transparency for our customers.

Yes. All of our CBD tinctures have undergone third-party, randomised laboratory testing for cannabinoid content and potency, pesticides and other toxins, and are free from additives, flavonoids, preservatives and toxins. This ensures the highest quality and purity. In addition, batch numbers can be found on the bottom of every single bottle.

This depends on one´s personal usage, but on average a 10ml bottle should last between 14-30 days.

Full-spectrum refers to hemp extract that preserves all of the therapeutic cannabinoids, flavonoids and terpenes that occur naturally in hemp, including THC. Studies have shown that, in comparison with CBD isolate, full-spectrum CBD offers higher levels of relief.

Broad-spectrum hemp extract preserves all the naturally-occurring cannabinoids mentioned above, apart from THC.

Isolate is an extract that solely contains CBD. CBD isolate does not preserve other cannabinoids and terpenes found in Cannabis.

Consider the following when buying CBD tinctures:

  1. Where and how the hemp is grown.
  2. Whether the tincture is full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, or isolate. Studies have shown that, in comparison with CBD isolate, full-spectrum CBD offers higher levels of relief.
  3. The potency of the tincture. A tincture with 5% CBD concentration is a good starting place for those new to CBD and provides more dosage flexibility than a tincture of say 3%.
  4. What other ingredients are in the tincture. It should, for example, be free from additives, artificial flavours and preservatives.
  5. Whether it has been third-party tested with certificates readily available on the website. This ensures that you receive the highest quality products.
  6. Finally take the cost of the product into account and be wary of products that come across as overly cheap. These oils may contain CBD isolates rather than pure CBD extracts. Cross check points 1-5 to ensure that your product is delivering on quality.

CBD has scientifically been proven to help with epilepsy and multiple sclerosis. For example, the CBD drug, Epidiolex (GW Pharmaceuticals, Salisbury, UK), has been approved to treat patients from the age of two years old with Dravet Syndrome and Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, both rare forms of epilepsy that emerge during childhood and can be difficult to treat. In addition, Sativex (GW Pharmaceuticals, Salisbury, UK) which is derived from Cannabis cultivars containing both THC and CBD, has been approved for use in the UK and is used to treat pain symptoms associated with multiple sclerosis.

CBD, unlike THC found in Marijuana, is non-intoxicating and will not make you feel ‘high’.

Salunabis broad-spectrum CBD oils contain less than 0.005% THC and will not show up in a drug test. Our full-spectrum tinctures contain the legal limit of less than 0.2% THC and in the unlikely event that your personal dosage is over 2 bottles per day, they might show a false positive on a drug test.

According to the WHO, it is virtually impossible to lethally overdose on CBD and Clinical trials have prescribed CBD doses up to 1,200 mg (equivalent to about 2 x 5% bottles) daily for months, without observing any serious side effects.

Whilst there are relatively few side effects of using CBD, some users have reported mild diarrhoea, low blood pressure and drowsiness.  For this reason, if you are new to using CBD, we advise to try it from the comfort of your home in order to safely observe how your body reacts.

In addition, both CBD and grapefruit inhibit cytochrome p450, so take extra precautions if you are on a medication that comes with a warning not to consume with grapefruit, such as with some cancer medications.

All orders ship within 2-3 business days. You’ll receive a shipment notification email with a tracking number as soon as your order ships.

RETURN POLICY

We offer refunds for all products returned within 30 days of purchase, in their unopened and original condition. If you would like to return an item purchased online, please contact us at support@salunabis.com. If your original payment method was a Salunabis Gift Card, you will receive a replacement gift card by email when your return is processed. We do not offer refunds on sale or promotional items. All refunds will be processed to the original method of payment.

If an item has been damaged in transit, Salunabis will provide you with a replacement or a full refund. Please contact us with your order details and an accompanying photo of the damaged item.
